The RISE project

Welcome to the RISE project

The RISE Project is the newest programme to be set up by The Bridge. We are teaming up with experts from the wellbeing world and local women to start the wheels of change towards healthier and happier communities. The RISE Project is made up of a number of sessions that are running from 10.00 – 16:00 every Friday between 29 September and 15 December 2017. Participants to join as much or as little as they choose and all sessions are free to ensure that the activities are accessible to all. Each of the activities scheduled addresses one or more of the evidence-based actions identified to improve personal wellbeing (as outlined in the NEF Five Ways to Wellbeing research). The activities include mindfulness, physical activity and art. There are also sessions on healthy living and nutrition together with the opportunity to learn how to cook healthy meals – and then eat them together.

RISE is for any women who feel that they could benefit from improved wellbeing and would like some assistance to feel balanced, calm, confident and positive. Changes to the benefit system, the break down of previously tight-knit communities and new struggles to find work-life balance are just some of the pressures facing Londoners today. Wellbeing can mean different things to different people and it can takes us a while to identify the changes we need to get back on track. That's where our RISE project comes it.

Stay all day or just come along for one activity. There is no pressure, take part in as much or as little as you want. We look forward to seeing you there!
